why i think cooked apples are the perfect food

i love cooked apples because they are one of those foods that is food at basically any meal.

breakfast? absolutely ill take some cooked apples

lunch time? sure thing why not

dinner? cooked apples and pork chops alll the way

dessert? put some ice cream on those bad boys and you've got one of the best desserts around

seriously cooked apples are probably one of my favorite things on this earth, and they are so easy to make too. this is how i make mine

ingredients:

2-3 apples of your choice, i love granny smith for something tart but these honey crisp are soo sweet they're amazing

2 tablespoons softened butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

pinch of salt, optional

method:

1. dice your apples into bite sized pieces. i like to cut mine into a little bit of irregular sizes because i like the different texture of some apples that are more cooked and some that are less cooked

2. combine the apples with the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

3. cook in a skillet, covered, over medium low heat for about 20-30 minutes or until the apples are cooked to your desired doneness
