I have struggled for years finding a healthy balance of supplements to support good sleep. After trying several OTC sleep aids, I started becoming dependent on them. Upon more research, I learned that there are some pretty serious risks associated with long-term use of sleep aids - so here is my most recent combo of supplements that have been helping me sleep through the night. My doctor and I discussed these for me, so remember to discuss any daily medication/supplements with your PCP or do some research 🫶🏼

Magnesium Glycinate

• Magnesium glycinate is a form of magnesium that contains the amino acid glycine. It's known for its calming properties and is considered by some to be the best form of magnesium for sleep.

L-Theanine

• L-theanine is an amino acid naturally present in tea leaves, especially green, black, white, and oolong teas. It has a calming effect on the central nervous system, reducing stress and promoting relaxation.

Melatonin

• Melatonin works closely with your body’s circadian rhythm, helping prepare you for sleep. As darkness falls, melatonin levels rise, signaling your body that it’s time to wind down and rest.
