Chicken and rice soup

Is it soup season yet? I did make this tonight and it was delicious! 😍

chicken breast (2-3)

48oz chicken broth

1/2-1 cup uncooked long grain rice (depends on how much rice you like)

Carrots (3-4, depending on size)

3 tbsp lemon juice

Onion powder

Garlic powder

Salt

Pepper

Boil and shred your chicken

Cut up and sauté your carrots about 5 minutes or until soft

if you like onion throw in 1 medium sweet onion and sauté. My family doesn’t like onions so I used onion powder and threw in some garlic powder. Generous amounts

Pour in the chicken broth and add the salt and pepper.

Let that boil them add in the rice. Cook about 20 minutes until rice is tender. Stirring occasionally.

Add in the lemon juice. Then stir in the chicken. You can also add parsley like the first picture (I did not)

I served with toasted French bread.
