✨How to trim & keep the shape of your curls🫶

I see so many people who have natural hair/curls and go to trim with household scissors ✂️ & trimming improperly and end up with a terrible shape or uneven/damage hair. I'm a certified licensed cosmetolgist, I specialize in cutting, color, braids/protective styling, and natural hair care, too.

You must always wheb trimming, never pull the back and sides up or all the way down to trim. Unless you're going for a tampered look.... most of the time, if you want a uniform and even shape, you must pull the hair tought the root and follow the shape of your head.

what that means is if you start in the back (bottom middle) pull that small to medium sections tought straight out where it grows from the scalp not all the way down (as if you were doing a length check).

if your doing the sides (by your ears) don't pull the section down to your shoulders to trim pull it tought straight out in a horizontal angle and trim...Same with the top dont pull it down the sides of your cheeks pull it straight up to the sky (not angled unless your in the front side of your head) and trim...an so forth & so on.
