Advice from my daughter 💐

This morning I asked my 10 year old daughter what I should post for today’s motivation, and I wish I could go back and record her response so I could play it back time and time again. After I quickly jotted down what she said I let her design today’s picture. I think she did very well. 💕

She only thought for a moment and then said

“Tell them to Be hopeful. Believe in yourself.

God is with you. God blessed you with your life, be thankful for it and cherish it.”

My eyes glossed over and I was filled with pride. Very simple. Very good advice, and very wise beyond her years.

Raising a girl in her pre-teen years is tough. In fact, why did no one tell me I was going to be fighting daily with the younger version of myself?! I often wonder “Am I doing enough? Will she be ok?”

Since she was very young we have instilled in her that she is so worthy, loved, and she can do all the hard things in this big beautiful world. We mirror kindness, compassion, and above all we have taught her to thank our maker.

It’s in these little moments that remind me she is always listening. That she is in fact soaking up all the lessons we hope she is, and when she lets her light shine like she did this morning I just know she is going to do great big things.
