warm,sticky, gooey, just wow.
let’s just cut to the chase—here’s the recipe:
dough:
- 2 cups ap flour(abit more to roll dough)
-2 1/4 tsp baking powder
-2 tbsp white sugar(or sub w brown sugar if u want)
-1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
-1/2 salt
-3/4 milk(idk if plant-based milk works but i think it shld be ok)
-3 tbsp unsalted melted butter
for the gooey inside:
-2 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar(i like it packed👍🏻)
- 5 tsp cinnamon powder(add more if uw)
steps:
-mix all dry ingredients tgth(remember to sift the flour and baking powder)
-add the milk to the melted butter
-combine butter+milk mixture w the dry ingredients
-knead the dough on a smooth floured surface and shape into a ball, cover w a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 mins(don’t overknead it)
-after 15 mins, remove the cloth and shape the dough into a flat rectangle
-in another bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon powder tgth
-brush butter over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over it
- roll tightly and chop into even pieces of suitable thickness
-put the cinnamon rolls into a graded baking pan and bake for around 30 mins till they are golden brown
for toppings- u can add greek yoghurt cos it evens out the sweetness and its so gd omg
