JB Michelin breakfast

Did you know that JB has a michelin seafood restaurant?! KL's famous fish soup restaurant has opened an outlet in JB too! My relatives have been raving about Hai Kah Lang so I charged there on my JB weekend trip. #summerdiary

At 9am, there was already a crowd at the entrance of the restaurant, outside the restaurant. Do remember to take a queue number first, before looking at the menu and ordering while waiting to be seated. We waited for about 20 mins to be seated, and once seated, our food was served quite fast.

Here's a rundown of everything we tried:

1️⃣ Mixed seafood noodle - clear soup (qing tang)

There was a mix of lala, fish, crab and sotong (prawns were unavailable that day🥲). The seafood tasted very fresh and sweet, without any trace of fishiness! The portion was quite huge and the ingredients were so GENEROUS, which was very worth the price (only RM28.90!! 💸) One bowl would be enough for 2 people to share.

2️⃣ Grouper milk soup with noodle

We got another fish soup and topped up for the milk soup base. The broth tasted quite unique as it had a hint of vinegary/ sour taste - something I don't really taste in Singapore. Highly recommended to try the milk soup!

3️⃣ Fried food (soft shell crab & threadfish fish)

The fried food came out piping hot, so they definitely cannot go wrong. Great to eat as sides with the soups!

4️⃣ Sea bird's nest jelly drink

Many people online said this drink is a must-order, so I was perhaps expecting something life-changing. I mean its alright, but nothing much to shout about.

Overall, Hai Kah Lang is one JB restaurant I definitely would want to go back, and think about from time to time. The food is delicious and affordable as well. 💫
