How I Maximize My Studio Space

When it comes to optimizing my studio space, I adhere to two simple principles that yield great results. Firstly, I make use of every available surface. For instance, my books are stacked to form a makeshift shelf for my mirror. My windowsill serves as a space for storing daily items, and the top of my wardrobe has taken on the role of both a planter and a storage area. This approach requires nothing more than a touch of creativity.

However, my next principle presents a bit more of a challenge. To maximize my space, I layer objects. This concept contradicts some interior rules for small spaces, such as maintaining a clutter-free and airy ambiance. Nevertheless, it works effectively when you curate the objects you use and own only what you truly need.

Rather than arranging objects like lamps, chest of drawers, stool, and my Kartell storage unit side by side, I stack and arrange them to create inviting focal points. This strategic method unifies the entire space while conserving valuable room. Had I positioned everything linearly, I would require a much larger area. Through layering, I optimize the available space, culminating in an aesthetically captivating setup.
