Make Your Small Studio Look Bigger

I've made my tiny studio apartment look and feel bigger through some clever strategies. Keeping the walls white and opting for mostly white furniture, like my wardrobe, has created an illusion of space. Mirrors have been a game-changer – they not only make the place seem larger but also reflect light, making it brighter.

Dealing with a low ceiling, I've focused on the floor. I've brought in darker and more active items like a checkered rug and floor lamps. This keeps the eyes down and away from the ceiling.

Transparent furniture, such as my glass coffee table, and furniture with legs, like my vintage chair, help by letting light pass through and under them.

Simple curtains add to the effect by letting in natural light. By hanging them from the ceiling, they also make the walls look taller.

With these straightforward approaches – using whites, mirrors, transparency, and strategic furniture – my cozy studio now gives off a sense of spaciousness.
