Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: breaks the scale

I am forever a Hai Kee Seafood advocate. Let me tell you why this is the best seafood restaurant I've been to in JB. 🥹👌🏼

1) The staff are super super friendly. I believe it's run by a family and the lady boss is an auntie in her 60s? I'm assuming? She's very cute and she talks to her customers and checks on us to make sure the food is up to our standard. She also small talks with you sometimes if the restaurant isn't too crowded!

2) The vibes are chill. Unlike popular seafood places, it's not by the water and super huge, it's in a hawker centre! The hygiene levels are actually really neat (much better than some places if you ask me... I rmb one time I went to this particularly famous one which I shall not name and the staff passed us a USED crab cracking tool like uh...)

3) Value for money!! We ordered chilli crayfish, salted egg sotong, sambal kangkong, mantou and rice and it cost us $22.5 each! (And we were stuffed)

- Super saucy and fresh chilli crayfish and it's also cut open so you don't have to get your hands dirty trying to deshell it and all

- Mantou was really crispy and hot too

- Salted egg sotong was very flavourful and the sotong was damn fresh, not rubbery at all

- Sambal kangkong tasted pretty ordinary but tbh sambal kangkong tastes pretty much the same everywhere (to me at least heh)

This place is located in a hawker centre so when you get there, just look for Stall No.21! Highly recommend 😭👏🏼
