Love at first sight is real?! 💗🫶

The sweet and simple story of how I met my partner.

Can you believe it? We locked eyes once and were instantly drawn to each other, like woah!

We met when we were 17, in the same school, and even in the same class. He noticed me on the first day of orientation and told his friends he’d “booked” me, or in Singaporean slang, he “chope” me 😭😭🙏🏼 like, what??

To top it off, I was carrying a ridiculously bright yellow bag that caught his attention because, let's face it, no one else would dare use that 💀💀 — bonus points for me attracting the love of my life <3. From then on, he referred to me as “yellow bag girl” to his friends.

As for me, I first noticed him during our class introductions. You know how it is — we girls always keep an eye out for the cutest guy, right? And there he was, standing up and introducing himself with the biggest, most charming smile. “He’s a cutie,” I thought.

Apparently, he noticed me checking him out too, so naturally, he tried to act all cool 😭😭🙏🏼. A few days later, when our classmates were exchanging Instagram handles in the group chat, we ended up stalking each other's profiles first (according to him too!). He even posted a class photo on his story just to catch my attention, though I’m still not sure how or why.

Eventually, he wanted to message me but was too nervous, so his friend grabbed his phone and sent a “heyo” on his behalf. Tell me why I INSTANTLY KNEW it was him even though I hadn’t saved anyone’s number yet! He followed up with “know me?” and I cheekily responded with “I think so” (even though I definitely knew).

And that was the start of our little romance. Pretty cute and funny, don’t you think?

Gonna tell the kids, “mommy and daddy fell in love at first sight”.
