A secret bar at the edge of Bangkok’s Chinatown?! 🤯

Yes, you heard that right. No, it’s not one of those highly raved bars in Soi Nana. (Definitely not Teens of Thailand again.)

We almost couldn’t find 𝐋𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐊 because it was nestled on the third floor of an unsuspecting Italian restaurant and almost gave up until we saw the bright neon sign at the turn of the corner 👀

This newest bar in Chinatown describes itself as “Speakeasy Shanghai meets Prohibition Hollywood” — you can tell from the snazzy interior (think opulent wallpapers, gold accents) juxtaposed against Chinese lanterns and lion dance head, all of which are crafted by the local community 🧧

The dim-lit speakeasy also serves up cocktails with ingredients sourced from Chinese herbalists next door, so if you’re up for an adventure, be sure to try out their list of signature cocktails (THB 420 each). If you’re looking for something familiar, they also offer classics such as Martini and Manhattan (THB 350 each).

Save for “In the Mood”, the rest of the drinks were pretty strong and spirit forward (just the way we liked it) and we are pleasantly surprised by the different tasting notes with each sip of the cocktail 🥃

We got some fried calamari to share but we’d say you can skip this and go for the drinks instead. We love the cosy, laidback vibes of this hidden bar and would definitely return for the delicious cocktails — so much more on the menu to try! 🤩
