Do you agree that meatballs are one of the easiest to make at home and the most filling and satisfying food you can have? They are perfect to be enjoyed just by themself and to go with pasta or rice! 🤤 My favorite meatball recipe is the one from the Joy of Cooking cookbook. However, I made them so many times that I adapted my modifications in it to simplify the process. Here’s how I made these tasty meatballs👇

🔸You’ll need (for 18-20 meatballs):

1 lb ground beef

2-3 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup fresh parsley, chopped OR 2 tablespoons dried parsley

1/2 onion, chopped

1/2 cup plain bread crumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 egg

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

About 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (you may need more)

Cooking oil

20-24 oz pasta sauce

🔸You’ll do:

1. In a large bowl, add the first 11 ingredients (from ground beef to dried oregano), and gently mix everything until they are all combined.

2. Preheat the oven to 375°F. In a shallow dish or a bowl, add the all-purpose flour. Use a spoon or your hand to scoop the ground beef and shape it into a small ball size, roll it in the all-purpose flour to give it a thin coat, and place it on a lined baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the ground beef.

3. Bake the meatballs at 375°F for about 15 minutes or until their internal temperature reaches 160°F.

4. Heat a pan over medium heat and add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom. Once the pan and the oil are hot, add the meatballs to the pan, and pour the pasta sauce in. Cook for another few minutes or until the pasta sauce is hot. (Optional) Add some fresh parsley on top.
