The flavor of these delicious scones reminds me of a good apple pie so much🤤🍎If you would like to try them out, please see below for the recipe.

🔷You’ll need:

🔸1 apple (Diced)

🔸Brown sugar to taste

🔸Cinnamon powder to taste

🔸A pinch of nutmeg powder

🔸80g all purpose flour

🔸170g cake flour

🔸5g baking powder

🔸25g granulated sugar (Optional. I usually like the flavor of my food/desserts on the lighter side and I did skip granulated sugar for these scones, but they still turned out delicious!)

🔸45g unsalted butter (Cold)

🔸1 egg (About 50-55g. Cold. *If it was a 55+g large egg, save 5-10g of it and you can use it as the egg wash at the end.)

🔸45-50g milk (Cold. The total amount of the egg and the milk should be 100g)

🔷You’ll do:

1. In a bowl, mix the diced apple, brown sugar, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg powder. Side it aside for at least 15 minutes.

*The amount of brown sugar & cinnamon & nutmeg powder in this step depends on the sweetness of your apples.

2. After 15 minutes, transfer the diced apple to a strainer. Set it aside again to allow the diced apple release the liquid.

3. In a large bowl, mix the all purpose flour, cake flour, baking powder, and granulated sugar. Mix well.

4. In another bowl, lightly beat the cold egg and the cold milk.

5. Add the cold butter and the egg mixture to the flour bowl. Mix well and then knead it until the dough is formed.

6. Add some of the apple liquid and the diced apple to the dough and keep kneading the dough for about 2 more minutes.

7. Store the dough in the refrigerator for at least 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, take the dough out.

8. On a clean surface, roll the dough flat, fold it over, then roll it again.

9. Repeat step 8 two more times.

10. Preheat the oven to 390°F.

11. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough out. Place the cutout doughs on a baking pan lined with parchment paper.

12. Brush some egg wash on the cutout doughs then sprinkle some brown sugar on top.

13. Bake them at 390°F for 10 minutes then switch to 365°F for another 13-15 minutes.

*Note: For additional sweetness, drizzle some honey or sea salt caramel sauce when you’re ready to server them.
