I love photography. Even if I’m no good at it.

Here’s more info on each one one if you guys want.

Project: person, place, or thing —— this was one of my first projects for this class and it wasn’t my best. The photos I took were really basic and not very original. As you can tell, I did sunsets, cause they’re pretty and easy to capture. Despite being the basic of the basic I got an A on it.

Project: perspective —— this one was fun. This project was really just me experimenting with angles and lighting. I have a whole album of photos for this one but unfortunately I can’t find them soooo…. YALL get the palm trees. I got an A on this one as well.

Project: opinions —— hah. I love this photo. Definitely caught my teacher by surprise (his face was absolutely hilarious) we had, like, 30 min to walk around school and find something that would work for the theme, and one of the guys decided to screw me over by leaving the dead camera for me so I had to scour for a charged battery. Anyways, found this written in the girls bathroom. Was very suiting for how I was feeling in the moment. Got an A on it and a meeting with my teacher after class.

Project: perspective —— I love love love this photo. I took it with my iPhone camera cause I didn’t have my actual camera with me but I still loved how it turned out. The whole kind of theme was just like, trying to get by or like, just trying to blur out the world, I don’t know how to explain it. I got an A+ on this one cause I entered more than 12 photos and they all were apparently “really fricken great” quote by my professor.

Project : where you live —— this one was also an early project and it’s this little part of my town that everyone knows. There’s an open lot where everyone learns to drive, there’s a gas station and a small dinner. So lots of main core memories were made there for many people including myself. This photo brought a whole class discussion arise and let’s just say I was very proud of myself. Got an A.

Project: freechoice —— this was an extra credit assignment and I decide to do it cause why not and I ended up attaching it to my honors journalism class. It was a local flower shop and I was there browsing and this woman who is working is just tending to the flowers so I ask her if I can take a photo. She was soooo sweet and ended up giving me a free bouquet of flowers. Anyways, I then later went back to the shop and asked if I could interview her. Her story had me in tears. Her brother passed away at a young age to epilepsy (something that I have) and so half of the funds from the shop go to the epilepsy foundation to help kids. This was probably one of my favorite projects cause I got to mix two of my favorite things. Ended up being spotlighted at my schools arts fair. I got an award for best written and most emotion. Got an A+ in both photography and journalism.
