God, where are you?

Have you ever been in a place in your life where you felt isolated? You felt alone? You felt like nothing was going right? You felt like everything that possibly could go wrong, did?

I’m sure we have all been there and it’s not fun at all. It’s like God, where are you? Why are you allowing this? It’s not wrong to ask those questions because honestly sometimes it IS hard to feel God presence in the chaos, however this is why it’s so important to know gods word so that you can combat the lies of the enemy. The enemy knows when we enter what we call the wilderness. We are tired. We are desperate to get out of this dark place so he will come in during our moment of desperation to try to convince us that God has forgotten about us. That God doesn’t care about us, that God doesn’t love us- but when you know the word of God you can speak that over the lies of the enemy so that he will flee

A perfect example of this is Matthew 4:1-11. Jesus was led into the wilderness (even Jesus, had a wilderness season) he had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. (I’m sure he was VERY weak) the scripture says AFTER he fasted he was tempted by the devil. This is an important take away because the enemy knew Jesus was weak and hungry. Perfect opportunity to come in and manipulate Jesus. Though Jesus was weak he still had Gods word hidden in his heart and was able to defeat the enemy in his lies, which caused the enemy to flee.

In order for us to enter into our promised land, we have to continue to lean on God even in the wilderness. Though he may feel far away, he is very much there. Gods word says he will never leave you or forsake you. So know if you are in your wilderness season, know that God is allowing it for a purpose. You will come out of this season stronger. Heads up, crowns on. You got this!
