The idea of traveling to a place you’ve never been to before can be intimidating! But whether traveling alone is something you’ve ever wanted to try or not, here’s a couple of things to note that’s helped me get over the fear of traveling alone!

This is SO useful, especially when you’re out and about and barely checking your phone. My friends have also said it’s been fun watching where exactly in the world I’m in

🏃‍♀️Get a free Google Voice Number (memorize the number)

This has helped me in SO many situations, especially when someone asks for your number (and stands next to you until you get a text), so you’re not easily trackable on other apps.

🏃‍♀️ Explore during the day

Safety should always come first! Especially in rural, unfamiliar areas, you want to make sure you can get back to your stay without any trouble!

🏃‍♀️ Provide updates on social media

Call this ‘bragging’ and ‘showing off’ your everyday life, but in case something bad does happen, your followers are aware of the last thing you’ve done. My parents followed up with my stories all the time and I can tell that overtime, they were less worried!
