I’m back with another ultimate travel guide with some of the best NO REGRETS spots I’ve hand-picked 🫡 If you head back to some of my most recent post , you’ll be able to see a more detailed version of some of the places I’ve visited. This is the first time I’m heading to Hokkaido so please be kind to me haha

01📍 CAR RENTAL from KLOOK ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Address: DEPENDS

Budget: $160 for 5 days

Tips: WE GIT ABIT LOST AT THR AIRPORT. It’s a bus all the way at the end that will pick you up to the car rental place 😎

02📍 Bespoke Hotel Sapporo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Address: Chuo-ku, Minami 2-jo, Nishi 1-chome 7-9, 060-0062, Sapporo

Budget: $450 for 4 nights

Tips: Book at least 3 months in advance because it’s near town and it’s very popular with the locals as well.

Review: Probably the best choice in booking this place because it’s near Donki as well so we almost went shopping everyday 😎 Food is rather more expensive in this area as its town. Loads of shopping mall nearby as well if you need warmer clothing or looking for bakeries. The hotel front desk was also 24h with limited parking space so we were able to get all the care. Heater was great and there’s everything you need in the room.

03📍 Hoheikyo Hot Spring⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Address: 608-2 Jozankei, Minami Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido 061-2301, Japan

Budget: 300 Yen per entry

Tips: It’s one hour drive away from town so be sure to grab things to keep you warm. Leave everything in the car because the lockers are not free. Suggest to use the lockers inside the changing room instead of at the lobby for easy access to your things.

Review: Onsen will never be the same again when you get to watch snow falls as you sit in the 38 to 40 °C spring water. Be sure to not sit longer than 1h as you’ll get dizzy. There’s only Japanese curry meal available so it depends if you want to have your meal there. We went back to town to eat sushi haha 😎 Head there during off peak and you might even get the whole outdoor area to yourself!

04📍 Sapporo Beer Museum⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Address: 9 Chome-1-1 Kita 7 Johigashi, Higashi Ward, Hokkaido 065-8633, Japan

Budget: There’s an option for free tour. Beer tasting starts at 800 Yen for the tasting set.

Tips: The free your was pretty much self sufficient as the museum part wasn’t as big as expected. Able to finish all the reading in 30min.

Review: I really enjoyed the Beer tasting set because they provide free cheese for you as well and peanuts. Got to try all the beers since their very first product and you’ll be able to taste the innovation throughout the years 😎 Loads of photo spots around the area too!

05📍 Odori Park⭐️⭐️

Address: 3 Chome Odorinishi, Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido 060-0042, Japan

Budget: Free

Tips: During winter time when we went there was no activities. Be sure to note down the Snow Festival in the month on Feb to see interesting snow carvings.

Review: Too cold for us to take a long walk but we stayed really near here. The view at the Sapporo Tower was the best during sunset so be sure to take a picture here 😎

06📍 Teine Sapporo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Address: 593-17 Teinehoncho, Teine Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido 006-0029, Japan

Budget: $150 per person for Half day (10am to 12:30pm). Includes rental of all gears and 1 lift-pass.

Tips: If you’re a fast learner, get the half-day First-time ski experience and its good enough!

Review: There’s English speaking coach around so not to worry. We booked our tickets online before this trip so it was super fuss free. They have your information almost immediately so the process was very fast. I suggest to get the one day pass if you want to ski all day as it covers unlimited lift-pass. We just wanted to ski for about few hours so the half-day pass was just right.😎 The rainbow route was the best for beginners. It was a long winding route without much steep route. I went for 2 rounds and had the best time of my life skiing for the very first time. Highly recommended!
