THE PERFECT PEAR

I came up with this cocktail/mocktail a few months ago & not only is it a personal favorite, but everyone that i’ve made it for is absolutely obsessed 😍

pear and ginger is one of the most perfect pairs to me (hence the name) — with the rum, there’s a bright, cinnnamon-y, refreshing taste & with the coconut water, dare I say it’s even more refreshing?

INSTRUCTIONS 🪜 —

MOCKTAIL 🍹 —

1. muddle a small handful of pear & a thumbs worth of ginger with 5.-.75 ounces of agave & lemon juice

2. add ice to the brim

3. add coconut water about halfway, then top with sparkling water

COCKTAIL 🍸 —

1. muddle a small handful of pear & a thumbs worth of ginger with .5-.75 ounces of agave & lemon juice

2. add 1.75-2 ounces of dark rum with ice

3. shake until your ancestors tell you to stop 🥂

4. pour over ice, add a dash of bitters, & garnish with pear slices

pears are a venusian fruit, they inspire creativity, optimism, & help to attract good luck in all areas of life

ginger is a martian (and slightly lunar) spice — ginger helps bring in good luck, helps inspire courage, & is good for the digestive system

SUBSTITUTES ➕—

🥥 instead of coconut water, do only sparkling water or ginger beer

🍐 most pears will do but I think the anjou is best for this drink

🍯 you can use honey or maple syrup instead of agave
