As memoirs :

Along the years, I’ve treated most watches like pieces of unwritten journals to accompany me to travel to places and through memorable events and milestones. Every watch carries a substantial story, good and bad. Every watch have a different perspective in different circumstances. My Sea Dweller meant to me that I’ve paid my dues at some point. My Batgirl meant to me that separation can bring new blessings. My Wimbledon meant to me not to get too attached to the past and to welcome new prospects.

As an allocation of money :

For most people, they’ll either see their money in their bank accounts, in investments, stocks etc. And for some, they never really see the money they’ve made through the years of their careers. Granted you’ve scored yourself a pretty good deal for watches, at any point of time, these watches can be liquidated rather easily and may even make you some money, even if you’ve worn them.

For networking :

Ever since I’ve started collecting watches, I’ve made more connections with people from both the same industry, and different industries. It’s light on the lips as it is on the wrist. And the sharing of knowledge on these timepieces can be boundless and interesting sometimes.

For everything else:

Any outfit isn’t an outfit without a nice watch to complete the look. Personally, I think every man MUST wear a watch anytime he’s not sleeping. Yes, we have phones to tell the time, but every watch speaks a fair bit of character. Its almost as important as your choice of perfume, your choice of hairstyle. When you present yourself to the world, please wear a watch
