This popular methodical guide to applying blush is extremely comprehensive and is changing the way we paint our cheeks. It enables you to find the optimal blush application for your face shape.

W = Sun kissed

Try this W blush application hack to achieve the perfect sun-kissed look or you can just do points of W for a lighter look. Begin at the highest point of one cheekbone and work your way down to the center of the cheek, then up to the bridge of the nose. Continue this on the other side until you have a W shape. Once you've applied it, blend it out for a sun-kissed look.

O = Youthfulness

The O alphabet blush technique creates the appearance of a naturally blushed face. This blush placement is classic and flattering on most skin tones. Apply your preferred blush in a dot right in the center of your apples of your cheeks, and gently blend it out with your fingers, a sponge, or a brush, keeping it focused on the apples of your cheeks. This blush application enhances the fullness and youth of your face.

C = Drama

The purpose of the C-shaped blush hack is to create a dramatic effect. It is my personal favorite. This blush technique is applied from the cheekbones all the way up to the brow bones. It’s a C shape and it’s similar to a face lift without the use of fillers or contouring. Then, for a natural finish, blend along this shape with your fingers, a brush, or a sponge.
