Mascara Powder Hack

I've seen this mascara powder hack on fyp and tiktok, where users coat their mascara brushes in loose powder, insert the wand back into the tube, and then apply mascara. Users claim that the technique enhances the effect of mascara by dramatically increasing the length and dimension of your eyelashes. This makeup hack requires only an eyelash curler, mascara, and setting powder. Maybelline mascara, an eyelash curler, and translucent powder were the three products I used. So let's get started!

Step 1

To begin, curl your lashes by pumping an eyelash curler from the base all the way to the tips, making sure to hold each clamp for eight seconds at a time. Curling the base, middle, and ends of the lashes creates a perfect curve rather than a jutting right-angle effect.

Step 2

Brush one to two coats of mascara through your lashes from root to tip.

Step 3

Tap some translucent powder into a jar or even your palm, then dip a Q-tip into the white dust.

Step 4

Dredge the translucent powder over the tops and bottoms of your lashes, making sure to coat your entire fringe with a light layer. When you're finished, your lashes should be rather ashen.

Step 5

Apply another coat of mascara from roots to tips to make your lashes raven-black.
