self acceptance, especially when it comes to my body, has really been an important topic for me 🥹

here are some points i bear in mind when i have bad body image days 🫶🏻😢

❤️ be vulnerable

share your struggles with someone you trust. the more open I was in sharing my struggles, the deeper I connected with people in my life, even those who I had not known were struggling similarly.

dont be afraid to be vulnerable, because there are so many others out there who could not only could relate to you, but may also be wishing that they had someone who could understand and not judge what they are going through!

therefore, i am taking to my platform in hopes that this can relate to you <3

❤️ purchase clothes that make you feel comfortable and confident

✨ clothes are meant to fit YOU, not the other way round

✨ sizes on clothes are inconsistent THROUGHOUT ALL BRANDS. never ever attach your worth to the sizing on the clothes. i like to take them as an objective measurement ☺️

❤️ be mindful of what you intake

✨ this does not apply to just food, but also what you consume on social media! i have talked about it more in my other posts linked below of this caption

✨ you are literally what you eat. have a balanced diet, and it will really do your body a lot of good! (this point is obvious but extremely underrated, so i thought it’d be great to reiterate <3)

❤️ distract yourself with doing good things for your body and soul

✨ this is not to say to AVOID your body all together. But a lot of times, it is really all in the head and can severely destroy you for a bit. so get out there, go for a walk, go do your favourite form of exercise (gym, spinning, pilates, yoga, etc!)

✨ do something good for your mind and body, and it will in turn help alleviate these feelings of bad body image

remember, healing and changing your mindset takes time (Especially when it has been entrenched into your head for a long time) 🤍 you are more than just your body, and your body is the LEAST interesting thing about you 🫶
