i went to HHN! so you don’t or do have to? 😆👀

so... everyone is seemingly going for hhn now.. 😮 it's popping up on your instagram stories every so often, you see all these scare actors on tiktok and instagram videos...🫣 and you ask yourself...

is it as fun as it seemingly is? 🤔🤔

disclaimer: I went on a non-peak day, experience will definitely vary from person to person and how faint your heart is. 😰

- personally, MY HEART IS REALLY FAINT😖 so you can only imagine how terrified i was at first to the point i wanted to leave but i told myself i paid and didn't want to ruin the fun for the rest. 😕😕 eventually i mustered up the courage to go for the houses... 🥶 read more to find out about my experience there! 🤭

there are 3 houses and 2 scare zones for this year!

👀general views/opinions:

🩸imo, i find scare actors in costumes less scary than human form ones (those that are not engulfed by the costumes and wear thick makeup)... 🥵

for some reason i am terrified of human faces because i think they distort the version of a normal human being to the one you have in your head. 💀 compared to when you see a scare actor in a costume, they feel more synthetic (while they still give you the creeps), so you can better psyche yourself that they are obviously not real.. 😅

🩸i think it comes down to who you go with! going with the right people will make the experience more fun 😁😁

👀 rating of the scare zones: 4/5

🩸 for the first time entering the first scare zone (to get to the human cylon area) i was actually super scared to the point i ran away from one of the scare actors.🤣🤣

🩸 they would spray out mist to decrease visibility and the scare actors would just pop out of no where to scare you 😄😄

🩸 for the first scare zone, they are a lot more friendly, in a sense that if you ask them for a photo they are chill 😃

🩸 the second scare zone is a lot more scarier.. (the hunt for pontianak) and i hugged my boyfriend the entire time 😖 closed my eyes and ears the entirety of it so i cannot really give you a proper rating of it.. 🙃 (just know it is scary cus i heard a lot of screams)

👀 houses: 4/5

🩸 DISCLAIMER: i closed my eyes and ears for the first 2 houses so my rating might not be the most accurate 😅

👀 in general, IT IS SCARY... the scare actors pop out of nowhere and I shall not spoil the fun but if you see windows and flaps you need to brace yourself 😂

but i kept telling myself that they cannot touch you.. and after awhile when you've warmed up to the entire house it doesn't become as scary anymore.😩 i managed to open my eyes for the last house (beside elmo ride) and take in the whole experience where i saw the scare actor's make up (meaning i had to be alittle frightened) and the set of the houses. 😅 it's really intricate and they put in a lot of effort to make sure you get the creeps! 😫

👀 overall experience: 4.5/5

maybe highly influenced by the company i went with too. 😚 they made the experience a lot more enjoyable and we managed to take only one ride (the mummy) which i love because i love rollercoasters! 🤩

🙊 cons:

- LONG waiting queues (Especially human and cylon for over 2 hours). so we only went to all 3 houses and 1 ride ☺️

advice:

- go in with an open mind, DO NOT HARRASS THE SCARE ACTORS!!!😰

- eat before going in as well... as there isn't really time to eat if you want to maximise your experience ☺️

- if you come from school or work, rent the lockers outside of USS (SAVED MY LIFE and my friends because we came from school and work respectively and we brought our laptops with us) 😇

- bring a water bottle 💦, NEEDA STAY HYDRATED because you're screaming a lot and it is a lot of walking as well (there are water coolers inside to fill up your bottle)
