Collecting Stamps in Japan!! 💮

After my stamp collection craze in Taiwan, I was really happy to find out that Japan has similar souvenir stamps for you to collect! So naturally I got myself a notebook and started to collect these souvenir stamps all over Japan.

Here’s some tips on collecting these stamps in Japan and where to find them!

🌸 Tourist Attractions:

Most Museums,Parks,Stores and other tourist attractions would have their own unique souvenir stamps. The stamps here will be located at the Information Centre or at a nearby table. Sometimes it will be hidden at the counter, so you just have to ask the staff there!

🚝 Train Stations:

Most stations would have a corresponding stamp for that particular station. Each station would have their own unique design and color corresponding to the train line! In Metro lines sometimes the stamp will be at the ticket masters office so you have to ask them directly. Not all metro stations have stamps as well!

For the JR Lines they have a unique table for the stamps that is quite easy to spot!

You can use this website to find the stamp locations of JR Line stamp as some stations are quite big and it is quite tough to find the stamps!

🛣️ Highway Reststops:

If you are driving in Japan for day trips out of the city, there are rest stops along the highways for you to get some food and take a break, but these rest stops all have their own unique stamps as well!

If you are not sure whether the place has a souvenir stamp just ask the staff! Just mention “Eki stampu ari-mas-ka?” or show them the stamps on your notebook!

Souvenir stamping is quite a huge thing here,so you can spot them at most places! Happy Stamping!
