Are we supporting Local brands enough?

Here’s my two cents opinion 🫢,

- local brands are not very popular among our community & that’s just how it is… if you observe those F&B or retail … queues are insane long when it comes from places like Japan, Korea, US etc…

- local products are seen as more ‘low class’ than international brands.. & when that happens, local stores will slowly shut down since its hard to sustain when sg is so expensive

- coming from my OWN experience… some bigger corporations will always try their luck to push and bargain for the lowest price … it’s like they don’t really see any value or appreciate what i am offering … it’s like being a pushover just cos im a local brand … sadly

- also because a lot of small local biz work in a smaller scale production, there’s only so much we can do to set our service or sell our product at a certain price point to cover our biz cost… 🥲 don’t compare our prices with big corporations … it’s just different … they have the power to set the price lower …
