Food Recommendations in Hongdae

Hi all,

I’m excited to share with you some of the must try food when in Seoul, particularly in Hongdae cause we were staying there during our 6 days there.

Offer Bakery Cafe

Hongdae is more happening in the evenings, so not all shops/restaurants are open early. While looking for a cafe to have our breakfast, we chance upon this pretty cafe. Their pastries are so pretty and we’re spoiled for choices. But there’s just so much we can eat for breakfast 😅

Eggdrop Hongdae

You must not miss this breakfast shop. The scramble eggs, the sauce, the salad.. everything just goes so well together.

Shin Migyeong Hongdae Dakgalbi

I think this is a great choice for lunch. A plate like this is for 2 pax. Set lunch for 2 at 24000 won. And they have some side dishes that’s self service. We also added a bottle of soju and beer to go with our food. OMG the soju and beer are both about 5000 won each 😮

BHC Chicken Hongdae

We love fried chicken and we definitely will not give BHC Chicken a miss. It doesn’t taste exactly the same as the store we had in Singapore. (We have an outlet in Marina Square if you are not aware) A whole chicken, fries and 2 bottles of beer at S$30+

Chosun Wharo Gui

Lastly, how can we missed Korean BBQ right? This place is 5 mins away from the busy Hongdae street. But the restaurant serves authentic Korean food, with lots of side dishes and at reasonable price. They are definitely cheaper than those near tourist attractions. Give it a try in your next trip to Hongdae.
