Mistakes to avoid when traveling to Mykonos 🇬🇷

Peak season in Mykonos is during July and August. During that time the island is extremely crowded, busy and also more expensive. Instead visit during shoulder season, which is in June and until mid September.

✨ not making reservations

Especially when visiting in high season, I would recommend to make reservations for beach clubs and restaurants in advance to avoid disappointment.

✨ only visiting the beach near Mykonos town

Mykonos is home to many beautiful beaches like Paraga beach or Platis Gialos. While it is convenient to visit the beach near the town, make the effort to explore more of Mykonos. It is worth it!

✨ drinking tap water

The tap water in Mykonos is not drinkable. Get a bottle of water instead.
