food | places that filled my tummy up recently 😋

fun fact, I am a big foodie so trying out new places to eat at brings so much joy to me and my tummy 🤩 and recently I ate at

⭐️ Miam Miam French Japanese Cafe Kitchen

⭐️ Walking On Sunshine Cafe

and i thought i’d share about how the food and dining was because good things must share! 🫶🏻

1️⃣ EMART (Serangoon Nex)

If you haven’t heard it yet, the well-known korea convenience store has opened an outlet in Singapore! As someone who loves korea and their food, I had to go visit and see how it was like!

The price range was quite average considering the food’s portion and variety. The place was quite small and compact so it didn’t feel as cosy or convenient considering its supposed to be a convenience store.

🛒 At the grocery section they sold lots of popular korean snacks, drinks and ramen like choco pie, samyang etc. but one bad point i realised was that the price tags were allocated all over the place at the grocery section so it was hard to navigate and know what the actual prices are for the items 🥲

🍴My friend and I ordered ramen, sweet and spicy boneless chicken, tteokbokki and corndogs. It was honestly quite average, i’d give it a 6.5/10. I think its a lot more worth it to eat at a korean restaurant but if you want affordable korean food then EMART is where you should go! 🤍

2️⃣ Miam Miam French Japanese Cafe Kitchen (Bugis Junction)

My friend and I were trying to look for a place to eat at bugis and we came across this cafe. It had a really nice bustling bar kind of atmosphere and the pictures in the menu looked so good and we decided to try the place out!

The prices for the mains and sides are pretty reasonable considering its a cafe in a mall 🤩 and oh my GOD, I am a sucker for carbonaras and I absolutely LOVE TRUFFLE, so when i saw this truffle carbonara on the menu I ordered it IMMEDIATELY. my friend ordered a carbonara too! We also ordered mentaiko mayo fries as our side and ordered apple juice and matcha to quench our thirst.🤤

🍴The food overall is so so good 100/10, pasta was so well cooked and the portion was so worth with its price. The ice matcha I drank was so refreshing, honestly one of the best ice matchas i’ve tried in my LIFE. As a big matcha lover, Miam Miam’s matcha is 💯. The customer service was great, they even gave us a place to put our bags so that we don’t have to put it on the floor, staff were really friendly and nice, great experience!! 💖

3️⃣ Walking On Sunshine Cafe (Orchard Central)

My friend wanted to bring me to this place as she said it was really good and that I would love the food and I DEFINITELY DID 😍 and what’s unique about this cafe is that it’s actually a salon too!!

Prices again are reasonable considering its a cafe in a mall plus its also a salon?!

I ordered a bulgogi beef cream fettuccine and my friend ordered a salmon truffle angel pasta. LET ME JUST MENTION, the portion is A LOT so the price of it is totally worth spending. ( I couldn’t even finish my bulgogi beef 😭 )

🍴 my friend’s truffle salmon pasta was so flavourful, the truffle was so strong and salmon was so well cooked, I can’t even rate the food because it BROKE THE SCALE!!! ⚖️

🍵The drinks were also so refreshing, my friend said that the sweet potato latte’s sweetness was just right and my matcha latte was so good too, I slurped it up so quickly.❣️

🫧 If I were to choose which place was my favourite I would say walking on sunshine!!
