Couldn’t get my hair to stay tame all day for the life of me! But low and behold fam, you’ve found me. You’re welcome

Step 1: part your hair in half or fourths and wet it with a spray bottle .

Step 2: using a detangling spray of your choice, comb through each section with a shampoo brush. this establishes a smooth base with minimal pain and time.

Step 3: use a strong gel that works for your hair type (I use the shine gorilla snot) and brush the sections with a regular hard brush.

Step 4: use hair ties to secure your sections. (If you did 4 sections, combine your fourths into halves like pigtails)

For the remaining hair, you can braid, twist, or stretch it with hair ties

Step 5: using another hair tie, combine the pigtails into one pony and then wrap it with a silk/satin head wrap

Step 6: unravel the remaining hair and put everything into one ponytail

Tips:

- if you like baby hairs, I suggest doing them the morning after.

- I like to use edge control to shape them, wrap them for about 15mins, and then to keep the hair in place, I apply gorilla snot and let it air dry

- make sure that you detangle your hair fully before attempting the slick back

yes, I use cantu! If it works for you, don’t let anyone trick you into thinking it shouldn’t
