💬 Thoughts

I’m always struggling with cracked lips for the longest time! I don’t usually hydrate as much for my insides but I do spend on various lip balms (from Burt’s bees, Fresh to some drugstore brands), however, it only looks good on the surface and does not treat the core of the problem irregardless of the amount of application I do 😩

Until I found out that Papaw ointment actually helps to properly treat and heal my cracked lips!

💄About Product: Lucas’ Papaw Ointment

An OG product from Australia! It contains mostly fermented papaya, hence the slight yellowish look. This goody also has anti-bacterial and anti microbial properties ✨

Aside from treating dry lips, you can also use it as a local topical application on the following:

• Minor Burns, Sunburn & Scalds

• Gravel Rash, Cuts & Minor Open Wounds

• Nappy Rash & Chaffing

• Splinters & Thorns

• Temporary relief of the symptoms of dermatitis and eczema

🫦 Product Application: Swab out a very thin layer for application and it goes a long way! The texture is pretty oily in nature if you accidentally take a huge amount of it. On taste, I wouldn’t recommend to taste it because it tastes nothing like papaya, but more so of Vaseline like taste? I tend to use a tissue to dab it out to avoid applying a heavy amount on the lips.

📝 Tips!!

1/ If you have cracked lips like me, avoid licking your lips to “moisturise” it because the saliva contains bacteria so it will, in fact, worsen the cracks.

2/ This is probably an obvious one but a huge temptation (at least for me) - Avoid picking at your lips, let it heal naturally. Else, tbh I’ll usually use my face towel to exfoliate the dead skin on the moist lips.
