here are things l've been doing to help me calm down and regulate my nervous system!

1) Mindfulness — understanding why you’re anxious takes slowing down & listening to yourself! I know it’s hard to do while you’re anxious because you just want it to stop. Set aside time each day to check in with yourself & journal, meditate, go outside eft tap, or something that lets you look inward and try to connect with that anxious part of you to understand it better.

2) Less understanding why you’re anxious takes slowing down & listening to yourself caffeine — this was a hard one to do! I lived off caffeine for so long & but I finally switched to decaf and haven't looked back! I don't miss the anxiety and the crash. Caffeine can increase symptoms of anxiety plus can be draining on your adrenals leading to fatigue.

3) Daily exercise — exercise has so many benefits!! Boost good endorphins with exercise + relieve tension in your muscles. Moving your body when you’re anxious is very helpful too! Going for a walk helps calm down your brain and regulates breathing!

4) Take adaptogens — adaptogens help reduce the effects of stress on the body! You can take them any time to help you calm down and relax! I love taking magnesium before bed for restful sleep 🤍

5) Epsom salt baths — Epsom salt helps stabilize mood and relieve stress, anxiety and depression. It helps your muscles relax which can help you relax ✨
