Anxious seems to be my middle name lately 🥲 here are things I’ve been doing to help me calm down and regulate my nervous system!

1) Less caffeine — this was a hard one to do! I lived off caffeine for so long 🥲 but I finally switched to decaf and haven’t looked back! I don’t miss the anxiety and the crash. Caffeine can increase symptoms of anxiety plus can be draining on your adrenals leading to fatigue.

2) Lymphatic drainage — can help to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system. This can slow down the heart rate, lower blood pressure, and reduce cortisol. Try dry brushing, gausha, lymphatic panel, legs up on the wall, or Ice rolling.

3) Baths with epsom salt — Epsom salt helps stabilize mood and relieve stress, anxiety and depression. It helps your muscles relax which can help you relax ✨

4) Release emotions — we need to feel our emotions then let them go or they get trapped in our body! Here are ways I’m completing my stress cycles: eft tapping meditation, journaling, calling a friend/or visiting a friend, crying, screaming, or laughing

5) Going on a walk — movement helps us complete our stress cycles plus is so good for our mental & physical health! Bonus points if you walk outside 🥹

anxiety will never go away fully but knowing how to manage it when it pops up is key for a healthy nervous system 🤍
