Blessed by the book Gods! These are a few of my recent reads that I feel that sooooo passed my expectations.
📙Black Lake Manor by Guy Morpuss 5/5 ⭐
is a chilling tale of gothic suspense that will keep you guessing until the very end. Set in a mysterious manor house, the story unfolds with a sinister atmosphere and a cast of intriguing characters. If you enjoy dark, atmospheric thrillers with a touch of the supernatural, this is a must-read. I also read his other book 5 Minds: LOVE IT
📙The Memory Collectors by Kim Neville 4.5/5⭐
is a novel that explores themes of grief, loss, entwined with the power of memory and emotional energy. The story follows two women with a unique ability to feel the emotions left behind on objects. With its haunting prose and emotional depth, this book is a thought-provoking read.
I enjoyed this book because I personally encountered such a unique phenomena (with a friend just before I found the book) and when I read it, I knew the happenstances are NOT just A COINCIDENCE. Definitely gave me new mind blowing exposure and my BIGGEST TAKEAWAY is that:
***What we don't know doesn't mean it's not real!!! (Can't and won't explain) Go read this book.
📙The Playground by Jane Shemilt 4.5/5⭐
is a gripping domestic thriller that explores the dark side of suburban life. As three seemingly perfect families become entangled in a web of secrets and lies, the true nature of their relationships is revealed. With its twisty plot and unsettling atmosphere, this book is a captivating read that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Very disturbing. Very real.
📙The Game by Scott Kershaw 5.5/5⭐
is my personal favorite from the list. The fast-paced plot, unpredictable twists, and suspenseful atmosphere kept me hooked from beginning to end. The characters were well-developed and relatable, making it easy to become invested in their story. If you're looking for a thrilling read that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I highly recommend this book.
I'm usually a slow reader. But because these books are from the library and sooooo good I finished them quickly!
P/S: I've got 2 more otw reads. I'm enjoying one halfway so far.
