Here’s a five-day winter itinerary in Austria! This was when we visited in early March and it was still pretty cold ❄️🥶 Have fun!

⭐️𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏: 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐭

- Pick up car from base (Vienna)

- Drive to Hallstatt (2h)

- Explore the Old (Fairytale) Town and admire the scenic view from the iconic postcard spot!

- Have lunch at one of the local food stalls or restaurants!

- Visit Salt Mines and/or the Hallstatt Skywalk

- Drive to Innsbruck to stay for the night!

⭐️𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐: 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐬𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤

- Explore the beautiful town that’s surrounded by the Alps!

- Golden Roof

- Alpine Zoo

- Tirol Panorama Museum

- Visit Nordkette mountain, Jewel of the Alps

- Ice skating at Olympiaworld

⭐️ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑: 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐬𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤

- Half day ski trip to one of Innsbruck’s mountains Axamer Lizum (perfect for first timers)

- Swavoski museum

⭐️𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟒: 𝐃𝐚𝐲-𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞

- Rent a car from Innsbruck Airport

- Cross the border to Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany

- Pay a visit to Linderhof Palace after!

⭐️ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟓: 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐳𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠

- Take an early train out from Innsbruck to Salzburg!

- Mirabell Garden & Mirabell Palace

- Hohensalzburg Fortress

- Wolfgang Lake (Driving is recommended if you have time)
