(G-L) alphabet dating ideas for Singapore

I am back again with another series of alphabet dating, this time for G to L!

G -

1️⃣ Garden of Lights - This is for all the Sanrio fans, Vivo City’s Sky Park currently has a display of Sanrio-themed lights for you guys to enjoy! Admission is FREE and it’ll be running till 31 October 2023! 🌈

2️⃣ Gardens by the Bay - Not much introduction needed for GBTB, apart from the usual cloud forest and flower dome, there is also the floral fantasy if you have never been! Flower dome is always switched up according to seasons and events so do check out what’s the current theme before going! 🌸

3️⃣ Gym

4️⃣ Games night - After covid lockdown period, everyone’s Nintendo switch is probably collecting dust at one corner. How about taking it once in awhile and rekindle your love for it again, remember Overcooked?!

H -

1️⃣ Halloween Horror Night - I mean, need I say more?! If you and your friends/partner are both are for some thrilling activity, this is the time of the year for HHN! 👻

2️⃣ Heritage Walk - Be a tourist in your own country! Check out temples at Chinatown, the little peranakan houses at Katong, the market and food at Little India!

3️⃣ Hotel Staycay

4️⃣ Happy Hour - The new speakeasy that you have saved in your TikTok or IG? How about it’s time to visit them instead of letting it sit in your saved folders! 🍻

I -

1️⃣ Ice cream date 🍨

2️⃣ Ice skating ⛸️

3️⃣ Island hopping - Other than Pulau Ubin, there are other islands in Singapore that you can visit such as St John’s Island with all the stray kitties there! You can also have a picnic there! 🏝️

4️⃣ Ikea date - To a certain extent, nothing’s more Singaporean than going to Ikea even though you don’t own a house and just look at all the furnitures and enjoy some sinful Ikea food. It doesn’t hurt to dream a little about the BTO we might (not) get!!

J -

1️⃣ Jogging

2️⃣ Japanese food 🍣

3️⃣ Jigsaw puzzles - Test each other’s patience and attention span with a 1000pc jigsaw puzzle?! After you’re done y’all can find a place to frame it up to commemorate all the blood, sweat and tears 🧩

4️⃣ Johor Bahru - Feels like a crime if I didn’t include this in my list since JB is a stone throw away from SG, it’s literally free to cross the customs and you’re in another country already! There are so many things you could do there and a day trip is always enough!

K -

1️⃣ Karaoke 🎤

2️⃣ Kiting - Marina Barrage is perfect for flying kites!! 🪁

3️⃣ Knitting - Pick up some new hobbies tgt! You start off small by making a coaster, a little hat or a mini bag! 🧶

4️⃣ Kuala Lumpur - if y’all have more budget, a trip to KL is pretty affordable actually! 3D2N is a good short trip to KL!

L -

1️⃣ Lego - Daiso actually offers great alternatives to legos if you’re not keen to spend a bomb on something you’re just gonna leave it aside on display eventually. Daiso have little animals or figurines you can put together like this little cat and dog we got!

2️⃣ Light show 💡

3️⃣ Live music 🎶

4️⃣ Leather workshop - I haven’t been to one personally but I saw one that’s pretty popular on Lemon8 called Crafune where you can get your hands on to make your own leather keychain, card holder or a coin pouch! Of course you’ll get to bring them home afterwards as well so it’s pretty worth it!!
