my simple 5-step night time skincare routine

After a long day out or even a day in, I look forward to ending my day with a very relaxing yet simple skincare routine! 🥰 #LoveMyself

I’m not the most diligent person with skincare, I like doing the bare minimum and try to achieve the best results. Plus it doesn’t help that I have an oily skin so I personally do not like piling a lot of skincare products on my face, cos it’s just gonna make it oilier.

Here’s a breakdown of my very simple night time skincare routine:

Mamonde Rose Water Toner | $29.90

Is the craze for Mamonde Rose Water Toner over?! It used to be so highly raved and I bought the 250ml bottle to try and I fell in love with it since. This 500ml bottle is taking FOREVER to finish. This toner is suitable for all skin types cos it’s soothing and moisturising and I love the light rose scent!! 🌹

Corsx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid | $13.95

Because I have an oily skin, BHA is very important for me to exfoliate my skin otherwise my pores will get clogged easily! I rotate between this and the Mamonde Rose Water Toner.

The Ordinary Niacinamide | 60ml for $16.10

I think this product needs no introduction, adding niacinamide to my skincare routine 1 year+ ago was the best decision ever! I used to have quite a bit of enlarged pores on my nose, but ever since I started using niacinamide, the texture has improved tremendously!! Not forgetting, niacinamide also even our your skin tone and calm inflamed skin (i.e. pimples).

The Inkey List Retinol | $20.90

If retinol is still not part of your skincare routine, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! I started using retinol thanks to TikTok and the first retinol product I purchased was also The Ordinary one. However, I hated the smell and how liquid it was so I switched to The Inkey List and my experience with it has been very pleasant since!

I don’t use this daily, only every other day. Retinol exfoliates your skin, increase collagen production and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Remember, prevention is always better than cure! 😉

iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream | $13.90

I can’t stress enough how having an oily face means you do not want to apply products that are too heavy on your face. It’s gonna feel uncomfortable and I feel it’s gonna do more harm than good. For moisturiser, I prefer something lightweight. I love this iUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream because it’s SO lightweight. Not greasy. It spreads easily and absorbs rlly quickly by my skin! 😍

Vaseline Lip Therapy | $5.35

Last but not least, I will always trust vaseline with my lips!! I actually bought this from Primark in the UK and I love this packaging more than the little tub we have in Singapore. This packaging is so much easier to use for someone with long nails! 💅🏻
