Putting together a retro outfit 🪩

As y’all have seen from my previous post, I visited the OFF / ON Exhibition featuring technology from the 1970s to 2000s. (If you haven’t, please go check out my previous post 🥺) I knew I would be taking lots of pictures there and so wanted to try my best to fit into the theme so the pictures would turn out better 🫢

Because the exhibition covers a few decades, it gave me a lot of leeway to work with! It may not be the best advice but when in doubt, always throw on a pair of bell bottom jeans or flare pants and your fit won’t go wrong!!!

With that in mind, I threw on my trusty pair of bell bottoms/flare jeans from Bershka, paired it with a floral tie top (I had to dig deep into my wardrobe for this 🙈), layered some accessories and called it a day! You can also put on a pair of hoops and boots too, because certain accessories can really help you achieve the aesthetics from the past!

To me the most important thing about dressing retro, regardless of which era your fit aims to emulate, is to embrace it but not overdo it (otherwise you’ll end up looking like you’re in costume 🫣). Hopefully this helps you to step back in time and dress retro for the modern age!
