In my previous post, I shared how I earned $1.5k/month tutoring as a side hustle. Since many are curious about how to start, here’s a guide to the 1 platform I use to secure all my tuition assignments — MindFlex!

Why MindFlex❓

Contrary to the usual advice of mass-applying across tons of tutoring channels, I actually only use MindFlex because the application process is super convenient and straightforward 💯 The plus point is their personalised Telegram/Whatsapp bot, which matches you with assignments daily based on your preferred location, subject and level. It makes finding and mass applying suitable assignments so much easier for me!

Here’s a quick guide on how you can start tutoring using MindFlex👇🏻

📚Step 1: Register as a tutor

- You can start by registering here: https://singaporetuitionteachers.com/register-as-a-private-tutor/

📚Step 2: Fill out your application details

- Identify the level and subjects you’re most comfortable teaching (eg pri/sec/jc) 🧑‍🏫

- Choose subjects you have a strong understanding of and (preferably) good grades in to help build credibility and increase your chances of securing clients 💯

📚Step 3. Set your rate for each assignment

- For every tutoring assignment on MindFlex, you get to indicate your preferred rate. Refer to slide 3 for the current market rate for different levels (taken from MindFlex’s page)

📚Step 4: Mass apply

… And just mass apply multiple assignments that match your preferences! If successfully, MindFlex admins will contact you directly to confirm the assignment and link you to the client :)

Note: MindFlex follows the industry practice of collecting 2 full weeks of lesson fees as commission.
