Must-Visit Creative Village in Taichung, Taiwan

Looking for some artsy place to walk around while in Taichung, Taiwan? Then look no further!

🎨 What to expect

In this art village you can expect to see many creative shops, and also independent booths spreading across the area. While they are open daily, I would recommend you to still visit on the weekends instead as there are more booths being set up, and there’s also more atmosphere with a bigger crowd. There are a big variety of booths there - with vintage clothing, accessories, eco-friendly items, many gift ideas, snacks and drinks etc. - all being sold there.

Besides gift shops and the many creative shops there, the area is also packed with food and beverages shops that sells small snack like waffles/ice cream.

‼️ Must visit

One of the must-visit store I would recommend is this gift shop called - KerKerland 審計店.

The variety of postcards available there is HUGE! Plus… they are all damn cuteeeee. All done by Taiwan illustrators, you can even send these postcards out with matching design envelopes in the store’s Time Machine Mailbox. The store would help you to mail out according to the month + year that you put your postcard in.

It’s a really unique thoughtful way to send your loved one a little note, or even a timely reminder for yourself in future. I myself did it, and the postage was not expensive (~SGD$2).

✨ Tip: Do visit before 6pm as that’s when most stores start to close!
