Must-Eat Best Juicy Pork Chop in Ximending, Taipei

Located in a small alleyway in the heart of centre Taipei, their unassuming front may make them easy to miss. But don't be mistaken! They are actually a 40-years old eatery, and a rather popular store in Taiwan, serving up Taiwanese must-eat pork chop and other traditional dishes in Ximending. 🫡

🥓 Pork Chop Rice 排骨飯

Initially seeing it, the pork chop looked really thick so I had thought they would be dry and tough especially since its pork. But it turned out to be really juicy and tender. 😮‍💨 The skin was still slightly crispy and very fragrant, and the meat was easy to bite into. It was so good that we ordered another pork chop! 👍🏻

🍗 Fried Chicken Thigh 雞腿

💲NTD 100 (~SGD 4.40)

The chicken thigh was equally juicy and tender. Although the chicken thigh was done pretty well, it didn't stand out too much. Personally I would prefer the pork cutlet as its hard to find a store that serves up really good pork cutlet without it being dry and tough, but this is still a good option to try!

💭 The store is a family-run business, and you can see many cute kids running around helping out in the store! Really adds to the homely feeling. We visited the store slightly after lunch hours, so we didn't have to wait too long to get a table (around 5-10 mins). But I heard during meal times there tend to be a queue. 🤭
