asking for a dog instead of a proposal ring 🤭

when my husband & i got married, i didn’t have a proposal ring back then because a lot of the finance went into building our home (which i didn’t mind AT ALL) but then, my husband did ask me if i wanted to get a ring — however i never found the appeal to proposal/engagement rings because i was never a jewellery person/a big diamond fan.

so, i asked my husband for a puppy instead of a ring! and it’s the best decision i ever made. at least my dog can keep me company and make me happy, and i feel happier bringing her out than to wear a diamond ring. 🤣

i know everyone is different and some people think a proposal ring is necessary, but if you’re like me and rather have something else as a replacement — ask your husband for a puppy instead, you won’t regret. 🤭
