Stand up for Yourself in the Workplace

Let’s chat. Let’s talk about value. I hate when people think they are dispensable when they work at big (or even medium, small) companies.

My mindset: they wouldn’t succeed without you. Therefore, you should treat yourself as such.

Valuing yourself and what you bring to the table is huge. It helps you stand up when there’s an issue or if you’re being talked down to in the workplace.

I let that happen for too long working in the toxic tv news industry. The crazy thing - when I stopped letting it happen, my life got exponentially better.

I stand up for myself all the time now (at multiple jobs) and it helps create respect.
