Phlebotomy/Med Student Study Tips 💉🩸

So studying can be a big stress for some students, but I’ll share some of my tips that have really made a difference! [Final Review, Cards and notes are all made/taken by me]

-Flash Cards: When I want to memorize a definition or communication techniques, flash cards are super helpful! I’d separate by chapter and then put them all together for later.

-Recopy Notes: It may seem odd, but recopying notes helps with memorizing them. Highlighting key points helps!

-Memorize Order of Draw: One of the most important things a phlebotomist needs to memorize is order of draw. There are plenty of study guides and even coloring pages that can help with this!

-Practice Palpating Veins & Tying Tourniquet: This is self explanitory. It’s so important to learn to properly tie a tourniquet and get a feel for the vein and where they are!
