I love eating these daily! A delicious and easy high protein snack that is packed full of diversity for your gut health. These gut friendly energy balls are the perfect snack you can take with you. Plus they’re good for you and your gut!

Here’s what you need:

- 1.5 cups soft pitted dates (or pit yourself!)

- 1 cup whole cashews

- 3 tbsp chocolate protein powder

- 3 tbsp nut butter of choice

- 2 tbsp maple syrup

- 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder

Optional toppings:

- 1/4 cup chia seeds

- 1/4 cup hemp hearts

Here’s how to make them:

1. Place dates and cashews into a food processor (or heavy duty blender) and blend until cashews resemble coarse salt

2. Add in protein powder, nut butter, powdered cocoa and maple syrup. Pulse until ingredients start to stick together.

3. Using 1 tbsp, roll out 10-15 balls.

4. Pour chia seeds and hemp hearts into two small separate balls. Roll the energy balls into desired topping and store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
