trying out dior’s transfer-proof lipsticks 💋

I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed reviews about Dior’s new transfer-proof bullet lipstick: Rouge Dior Forever ($62)💄💋

As a lipstick junkie I had to purchase it immediately but the bestseller (shade 200) was sold out in every boutique. thankfully i managed to order the last piece online and even though i had to pay extra, i’d say it is worth every dollar.

What is it:

Dior innovates with Rouge Dior Forever, the 1st transfer-proof Dior lipstick in a bullet format. Ultra-pigmented for intense color and concentrated in floral lip care, it ensures 16 hours of wear without compromising comfort.

Shade 200: The perfect warm nude

Shade 458: A bright rosy pink

Wear test:

I have to say shade 200 was more resistant to budging, I wore it to school for close to 14 hours. I drank 2 cups of coffee, had an oily lunch (pasta) and it still stayed on perfectly. I was so impressed by it, I went back to Dior the next day to pick up shade 458. I put shade 458 to a similar test, and by the end of the day, most of it was still on my lips. Perhaps the wearing off was more visible for 458 because of how stark the contrast between the cool pink and my natural lip shade is.

In terms of comfort, it does feel like you have lipstick on but it is not heavy. It does get quite drying towards the end of the day so I highly suggest putting on lip care before using it for long hours.

TLDR: Worth $62 if you’re looking for a functional, luxury lipstick. But if you just want a transfer-proof lip product, there are multiple alternatives at a much cheaper price point!
