I love traveling but it can give me SUCH anxiety! I am already a really anxious person and the day before and day of traveling amplify my anxiety by 100. Over the last year I have really focused on working through my anxiety and figuring out ways to help it when I am traveling. Here is what works for me:
1. Snacks
Always pack snacks to avoid spending money at the airport. This is especially important if you have dietary
restrictions! It’s easy to get anxious over this if you don’t come prepared. In this case I was going away for
5 days with my boyfriends family so I brought lots of snacks to share!
2. Reusable bottle
Bring your own bottle! I don’t always do this if I’m traveling super light but it can be really helpful! I don’t like to drink from plastic water bottles and always use my water filter at home. When I'm traveling, it can really help to have one of my bottles with me to avoid the plastic and spending money.
3. Pack light
Packing gives me SUCH anxiety! I have learned over the recent year to pack less and less. Why do we always
pack so much more than we need?! I love traveling only with a backpack and not having to worry about all of the extra clothes that I probably wouldn’t be wearing anyways!
