When it comes to a first date, I love to keep it simple. If you’re in a city like New York, it’s pretty easy to get carried away with expectations. A stroll through your favorite neighborhood is a fun way to get to know someone while also going with the flow.

One of my favorite dates was a walk through SoHo that took us past The Nines. We decided to pop in and were lucky enough to get a table. We didn’t want to part ways after that, so we headed to the West Side Hwy to catch the sunset. While walking me home, we stopped at his bodega and grabbed watermelon to eat while we walked.

It was simple, spontaneous, and perfect for a first date :)
