2023 Vampire book I devoured

I owe the Barnes & nobles employee who put a stack of these books in a “if you loved invisible life of Addie LaRue, read this” section.

I’m a sucker for vampire stories (lol) but this was something completely different. Truly captured the ravenous hunger of vampires in a unique and enthralling way. Wonderfully written & beautifully dark.

This book is for you if you:

• enjoy a layered story that explores past & present of a character

• like a mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat & comes together in dark & perfect ways

• enjoy a flawed main character

• want to explore the more animalistic side to vampires

• like art & history

• aren’t looking for much romance (this book isn’t the typical vampire spice)

• aren’t sensitive to blood & lots of it

The first 2/3rds of the book set everything up & the last 3rd puts everything into place. Truly couldn’t put it down!
