Places you should visit in Shanghai?

here are some places to visit if shanghai is in your travel bucket list 🪣

朱家角

3.9 /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:

calming nice scenery, very old water town + spirited away vibes.

it is also the nearest water town from shanghai.

entrance is free!

Best to arrive at 4pm+ so u get both the daytime and nightime views

🤔Why I dislike it:

1h+ car ride from shanghai 🙁

place is not very big ?? and can be explored finish within 1h+. other water towns are bigger in comparison.

Disneyland

♾️ /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:

the food and merch there are nubbad and on the cheap side for disneyland. however!! the ride queues can get very long 😅 and there isnt much exciting thrilling rides (as expected)

their disneyland app is super useful and contain all the information(waiting times for the rides+ timings for the shows, parades and 💥 fireworks) so pls download it before you go !!

💡 park opens at 830am but do get there earlier before the queue gets longer. we arrived at around 8am on a sat and the queue isn’t that bad :)

also there is an early admission pass whereby you can get into the park 1h earlier 💡 💡 💡

European street

3 /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:

go only if you like to take pictures. there is nothing to do there. we went there only because we were nearby 🤪

豫园 + 城隍庙

4.2/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐:

many things to eat/shop/see

these 2 places are next to each other! there are separated sightseeing attractions inside that require entrance 🎟️. gets really crowded in the evenings

did several city walk paths but my favourite was the bund one followed by 安福路 —> 武康路 ! there is also a 2 storey brandy melville store at 安福路🥹 it’s a must go

新天地 —> 思南路 is another possible city walk you can explore if u have extra time too ❤️
